Haney Air Conditioning has access to most national brands of air conditioning equipment but chooses to install the products of Goodman Manufacturing Company of Houston, the second largest manufacturer of air conditioning equipment in the world.
The Goodman line of air conditioning equipment produced by the GMC, has one of the best warranties in the industry, offers an extended warranty if desired, and above all, is locally produced and distributed in this trade area, which means READY ACCESS to both equipment and parts. Ductless split systems are available from Goodman and Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. and are the best choice for renovations, room additions, and even new construction when the advantages of energy-efficient zone cooling are desired.

Service
Haney Air Conditioning will service any product it sells and installs. We also offer service on most national brands regardless of who installed the original equipment.
Warranty
Haney Air Conditioning stands behind its workmanship, offering a full year on new installations, and thirty days on all repairs it performs. These warranties are in addition to the manufacturer's warranty.
Qualifications
Geo. M. "Dugan" Haney Jr. is State of Texas Licensed, approved by the EPA and certified as Universal in the refrigerant transition and recovery certification program, has taught numerous manufacturers technical courses, conducted numerous business seminars relating to computer usage and has been in the air conditioning business in excess of fifty years.
Background
The Company, founded in June 1952, by Mattie B. and Geo. M. Haney Sr. was originally called Haney Refrigeration. The Company provided sales, installations and service of commercial refrigeration and room air conditioning systems in its trade area of Galveston County , Texas.
The two sons, Geo. "Dugan" Haney Jr. and Joe "Bud" Haney worked with their parents, expanding the business to include central air conditioning, appliances, sporting goods and toys.
Dugan, the oldest, operated a central air conditioning contracting company, specializing in residential and commercial installations, some of which are in the famed Galveston Historical and Medical Center areas, subcontracting the service to his parents firm. Bud directed the company's appliance, sporting goods and toy business until the untimely death of Geo. M. Haney Sr. in 1967.
The Companies were then merged into one, relocated and renamed The Haney Company, Inc., d.b.a. Haney Air Conditioning. Haney Air Conditioning specializes in the installation and service of central air conditioning systems in residential and small commercial applications.
Mattie B. Haney continued as office manager and was very active in the ABWA organization, serving in various capacities, including President until her retirement a few years ago.
Dugan Haney was elected President of the combined businesses and still performs most of the installation and service work himself to this day, with the help of several trusted subcontractors.
In 2008, Haney Air Conditioning became part of GMHjr LLC, continuing its over fifty year tradition, "Do It Right The First Time!"
